Music & Conversation – our Autumn 2024 event in London

Edward Picton-Turbervill City Music Foundation London, June 2024

Thursday, 14th November 2024, 6.30-8.30pm
Carlisle Place London, SW1P 1NP

We are delighted to be welcoming the astonishing young British tenor Laurence Kilsby to perform for a private Dragonflies audience in London, fresh from his recent performances at Wigmore Hall, BBC Proms and many of the world’s top stages.

Over the course of a short recital, pianist and Dragonflies member Edward Picton-Turbervill (MJP 2012) will explore with Laurence the colourful lives, music and sexuality of four Etonian composers: Roger Quilter, Hubert Parry, George Butterworth and Peter Warlock.

The performance will explore the link between queerness and creativity, and celebrate these four important Eton musicians through some of their most beloved songs. Join us for what is certain to be a unique and interesting evening, wonderful music and a chance for drinks before and after with members.

Capacity is limited, so RSVP early to secure places. Guests of members are warmly welcome to attend.
